Policies and Procedures Manual: Trophy Chairman

TROPHY CHAIRMAN

The Trophy Chairman is responsible for all things related to the determination of car classes for the purposes of distributing trophies, and for maintaining an inventory of trophies for presentation at the close of an event.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  1. Ensure that an appropriate number of trophy awards are available prior to the event.

  2. Anytime after 2nd runs - take a copy of the results and determine which classes need to be bumped and where they bump to. After final runs, classes flagged for bumping will be completed in the computer and trophies or punch cards will be awarded.

  3. Before awards presentation, determine the class ranking of each competitor on the posting sheets and assist the Event Chairman in the presentation of the awards. Make sure that the Trophy Chairman is given a list of those competitors receiving awards so that trophies and/or plates can be ordered.

  4. See that the person who volunteered to compile the computerized Official Results of the event, receives all the scoring sheets and timing and scoring cards.
